(B) Sisters at Somerville:

From the family photo album, surely these little girls are Eileen and Pam, who are Arthur William Archer’s first two children, born in the mid-1920s, so this is early 1930s, and surely they are at Somerville. I don’t believe it can be anywhere else. Eileen (married name Raff) came over from the South Carolina (where she has lived all her married life) to her younger sister’s golden wedding party in the ’20-noughties’ (date to be entered in due course), and Pam lived another year or two until about 2009 (date to be entered in due course). But what life and emotion can be read into these two young faces! And you can almost read what they are evidently most interested in.
