General & Individual Family Trees:

HOW IT ALL WORKS:

This general tree shows at least one member from each family and illustrates the inter-family links. More detailed trees can be found below. This tree is used to identify portions of the general family group for more detailed discussion and disclosure below. Individual family trees are identified further down the page, with links to be clicked.

4. Click here for a tree showing the Penfold-family-part of this website. Who are/were the Penfolds, you ask? Answer: see above in the bottom-left portion of the General Family Tree. The maiden name of my mother Gwen was Penfold, her father being Frank Penfold, who married Rosa Wells, daughter of William Wells, the chrysanthemum-grower, and Rosa’s sister May (Mary) married Billy Morgan manager of Austens ironmongers of Petworth, Sussex, and they had a daughter Gwenda Morgan (click on the highligted name to go to a page about Gwenda) who became a well-known wood-engraver; Gwen and her cousin Gwenda were, I can now see, extraordinarily artistically-gifted members of the family, in relation to music and wood-engraving respectively. More about these gifts elsewhere on this site;

5. Click here for the Howard.de.Meyer.Archer tree relating to the family of my niece Sophie Archer (daughter of my elder brother Michael Archer) who married Alex de Meyer at Shoreditch Town Hall on 3rd May 2014;
