No currently available data for this very undistinguished snapshot. Probably taken on an “OCLC” sheds visit. Why include it? Well, it’s quite visually representative of the lines of ‘dead’ and often seemingly undistinguished locomotives (probably the result of WWII lack-of-investment) that we saw on our mpd visits with Oxford City Loco Club, and elsewhere. The general ‘North Eastern/Robinson(?)’-looking design of this loco is reminiscent for me of the very familiar GWR-allocated ‘R.O.D’ class of goods engines, that were common enough at Oxford in the 1940s.
