Page 1 of album - paper cutting on inside of album’s front cover:

very battered paper-cutting added to the inside cover of the album from the Daily Mail of April 27th, 1961. This apparently shows that AC&Co had some interest in a removal carried out for the actress Vivien Leigh at Tickerage Mill (which online searching shows to be a very handsome location in Sussex which is famous for its assocation with her and her husband (until 1960) Laurence Oliver). Whether AC&Co actually carried out the removal is not yet clear to me. The paper cutting is marked in ball-point to indicate that three of the staff enjoying a drink with Miss Leigh may well be from AC&Co, namely: ‘A. Gurden’, ’S. Bird’ and ‘A. Foster’. The ‘Gurden’ surname is not at all clear though it does end in ‘den’ and appears to start with a ‘G’ but the rest is uncertain. Gurden is however a famous AC&Co staff surname that can never be forgotten. (This page of the album came in its proper place in the album, just after the photo of the whole album, but has been displaced accidentally on this page of the website, and I have not yet found out how to re-position it) (28.7.16).
